I came across this bike at the publix on San Jose Blvd next to Target. The owner of this bike has one cable lock, one ULock and one cable. Yet he/she still does not seem to feel there might be a need to lock the bike the rack. Instead they opt to run the cable through the front tire and secure it with the ULock which was around the head tube.
On a side note, this publix has pretty good rack placement but the rack itself is of the old out-of-date wheel benders.

Yeah some people have no clue about bike. IMHO I blame the bike shop that sold the bike and locks for not showing the owner how to properly secure the bike.
you should have taken the bike and left a note saying "you're a moron, learn how to lock your bike properly". I don't blame the bike shop, I blame the owner for being a complete and total MORON...seriously WTF?! :\
Not everyone is as smart as you Jeremiah. So people need instructions on how to do things. I still blame the bike shop for not teaching their customers how to use the products they sell.
I don't know about blaming the store owner. There is such a thing as reading instructions, or researching the product you're buying especially if what you're purchasing is new/foreign to you. Or the buyer could have just asked the question. Oh well, I am sure that bike will get stolen eventually!
Hey, I just moved to Jax and wanted to get involved in the bike community down here. I did some stuff with a bike co-op at Georgia Tech and would like to do the same here. I found stuff like this and zombie bikes through google but can't seem to get any current information on meetups or contact info. Anyone got any good co-ops worh checking out in the Jax area?
