It has been a rough Bike Month for Jacksonville cyclists. We lost 3 cyclists last week in a city with an average of 2 deaths a year. 5 cyclists have lost the battle on Jacksonville roads this year and we haven't even reached the half way point for the year.

Jacksonville Ride of Silence:
May 16th, 2012 will honor several local cyclists that have lost their lives. Ride of Silence has been held in Jacksonville since 2008.
Gathering at LakeShore Bicycles 2108 Blanding blvd. Jacksonville, Fl. at 6:30 pm. and leaving at 7 pm.
The route will cross Blanding Blvd. to Bayview road, left on Cambridge Road, left on LakeShore then following State route 211 downtown to Hemming Plaza. We will re-group then using the same route to return. (14 miles round trip; 7 miles downtown and 7 miles return)
