Ok, so we all pretty much know about San Jose being all tore up from the new bike lanes being installed. If you happen to be brave enough to ride it, im sure youve noticed the uneven pavement leaves a 2 inch cliff to hop over if you turn on or off the roadway. Another trouble spot is Baymeadows Rd, between San Jose and Philips Hwy. Any other unsafe construction zones and trouble spots we need to watch out for?

For road projects in Jax you can go here http://www.coj.net/departments/better-jacksonville-plan/road-projects.aspx
The page also has links to JEA, JTA, and FDOT projects that could effect traffic.

I tried the link for FDOT and it’s not working so here is a better link http://www2.dot.state.fl.us/construction/Estimates/ActiveContracts/ActiveContracts.aspx

Just put your county in the county field and hit the enter key and you will get all the projects they are working on for your county.

UPDATE: San Jose bike lanes have been open for a few weeks now. Still turns into a parking lane as you go north and the road becomes Hendrix Ave. But now a trip downtown from Mandarin takes roughly 35 mins with stoplights instead of 50 minutes. Also a lot nicer not being forced to take the lane on such a high speed, high traffic, roadway.
